  • every time you email us your details and every time you contact us.

You may visit the Website without registering. If you choose not to register you may not be able to use the Website to its fullest extent. For example, you will be unable to submit posts to the Forum available on the Website.

We may also collect information about your computer, including your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and for some of the purposes set out in section 3 below. This is statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns and does not identify any individual.

The Websites (save for www.artsaward.org.uk) are not intended for use by individuals under 12 years of age and so if you are under 12 (in particular, using our website at www.artsaward.org.uk) please do not provide any personal information to us without the consent of your parent or guardian.

3.9 providing you with information and news about our programmes, events and services or contacting you to ask you to participate in marketing and academic surveys.

Where you submit personal information for publication on our website, we will publish and otherwise use that information in accordance with the license you grant us.

You may subscribe to our email newsletters to receive information about some of our activities and programmes. You may also download some of our newsletters directly from the Website without subscribing.

If you register on the Website and App, we may use the personal information we collect from you to send you information about our activities and programmes by email. You may choose not to receive information about our activities and programmes when you register or, if you opt-in to receiving marketing communications when we collect your personal information but subsequently change your mind, you can send us an email at unsubscribe@trinitycollege.com and we will unsubscribe you.

We may also use and disclose information in aggregate (so that no individuals are identified) for marketing and strategic development purposes.

We will retain the personal information we collect from the Website and App in accordance with our data retention policy.

5. Disclosure of your personal information

We will only disclose personal information we collect from you from the Websites:

5.1 to the schools, colleges, education centres, local authorities, community centres or any other entity that provides training courses to individuals taking a qualification awarded by us or that hosts our exams (each a “Registered Examination Centre”) to the extent necessary for the Registered Examination Centre to provide the training course and/or host the exam you are registered for;

5.2 to persons or bodies contracted by us to carry out the roles of examiner, marker, advisor, moderator, tutor, consultant, representative or other similar roles on our behalf in the context of our provision of qualifications;

5.3 as required by law and/or to government bodies and law enforcement agencies, including the Skills Funding Agency for learners in England & Wales. For learners in England & Wales only: some of the information you supply will be used by the Skills Funding Agency to fulfil its statutory functions, issue/verify your Unique Learner Number (ULN) and update/check your Personal Learning Record. The Skills Funding Agency may share your ULN and Personal Learning Record with other education related organisations, such as your careers service, school, college, university, Government Departments and public bodies responsible for funding your education. 5.4 in order to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights (including providing information to others for the purposes of fraud prevention and reducing credit risk);

5.5 in order to enforce our Website Terms of Use or terms and conditions of supply and other agreements;

5.6 to successors in title to our business; and

5.7 to suppliers we engage to process data on our behalf.

 

6. Other Websites

The Websites contain links to other Websites which are outside our control and are not covered by this Privacy Policy. If you access other Websites using the links provided, the operators of these Websites may collect personal information from you which will be used by them in accordance with their privacy policy, which may differ from ours. Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to these websites.

We endeavour to take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information. All the personal information we collect is stored securely on our servers and we use secure internet protocols to protect data collection and processing. Any payment transactions will be encrypted.

The data that we collect from you may be transferred to and stored at a destination outside of the European Economic Area (“EEA”). It may also be processed by staff operating outside of the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. By submitting your personal data, you consent to this transfer, storing or processing.
